A cool playground upgrade means students at Snake River Elementary can now exercise their minds AND their bodies at recess.
Fifth graders from this year and last year worked with Treasure Valley Leadership Academy students to create playground activities that would be both fun and educational.
Their ideas were installed recently thanks to the efforts of TVLA, Snake River administration, staff, teachers and spouses, and volunteers from Involve Church. The project was funded by a grant from Idaho STEM Action Center and support from Idaho Electric Signs.
Students can learn about geometry, number lines, multiplication, fractions, measurements and more, all while being physically active.
